DSAC HOSTS DELEGATION FROM THE MANAGEMENT BOARD OF HO CHI MINH CITY HIGH-TECH PARK AND CONDUCTS THE TECHNICAL EVALUATION ROUND OF THE SECOND SMART CITY SEMICONDUCTOR DESIGN COMPETITION
On May 12, 2025, at Software Park Da Nang No. 2, the Danang Semiconductor and Artificial Intelligence Research and Training Center (DSAC) had the honor of welcoming the delegation from the Management Board of the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park as part of the program to share development models and promote cooperation between the nation’s leading technology centers.
The delegation was led by Prof. Dr. Le Quoc Cuong, Deputy Head of the Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park, accompanied by Ms. Le Thi Kim Van, Deputy Head of the Science and Technology Management and International Cooperation Department; Mr. Hoang Anh, Acting Director of the High-Tech Park Training Center; Mr. Quach Anh Sen, Deputy Director in charge of the High-Tech Business Incubator; Dr. Trinh Xuan Thang, Acting Director of the High-Tech Park Research and Development Center; and two professors from the Vietnam National University-Ho Chi Minh City.
During the working session, DSAC introduced the formation and development process of the Center, along with sharing experiences in implementing technology development policies in Da Nang. The two sides also exchanged views on future cooperation directions, focusing on:

Developing high-tech human resources through specialized training programs.

Supporting the incubation of technology enterprises at the two largest technology centers in Vietnam.

Sharing the development model of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park to apply it in Da Nang, aiming towards the Smart City and AI-driven City model.
TECHNICAL EVALUATION ROUND – SECOND SEMICONDUCTOR DESIGN COMPETITION FOR SMART CITIES – CENTRAL VIETNAM REGION
On the same day, the Technical Evaluation Round of the Second Smart City Semiconductor Design Competition for the Central Vietnam region was held on the 4th floor of the Software Park Da Nang. The event attracted 15 outstanding teams from leading universities in the region, with guidance from senior engineers of Synopsys and FPT Semiconductor.
The participating teams presented their ideas and defended their solutions directly before the Jury Panel, focusing on semiconductor solutions for smart cities. The results will select the top 3 teams from the Central region to represent the area at the National Final Round in Ho Chi Minh City on May 19, 2025.
Strengthening Cooperation – Contributing to the Development of High-Tech Industry in Vietnam
The working session with the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park Management Board, along with the technical evaluation round of the design competition, are significant milestones demonstrating DSAC’s ongoing efforts to expand cooperation and connect with leading partners in high-tech fields.
Through these activities, DSAC continues to affirm its role as a pioneer in Central Vietnam in the fields of training, research, and application of high-tech, particularly in key areas such as semiconductor design and artificial intelligence. At the same time, these are concrete steps contributing to the sustainable development of the semiconductor industry and national digital transformation.
