On the afternoon of June 22, 2025, the Da Nang Semiconductor and AI Center (DSAC) had the honor of welcoming a delegation from The Asia Foundation (TAF) to Software Park No. 2. The meeting gathered representatives from organizations, businesses, and academic institutions in Da Nang to discuss human resource development and cooperation in the semiconductor industry.

Speaking at the session, Mr. Lê Hoàng Phúc – Director of DSAC – emphasized the Center’s mission in capacity building, ecosystem development, and innovation promotion in Da Nang, especially in semiconductors and artificial intelligence.

With the capability to deliver international training programs in partnership with Synopsys, Intel, Google, Gowin, and others, DSAC has been effectively implementing hands-on training in chip design, FPGA, and transitioning engineers from related fields into semiconductor design. These programs are not only skill-focused but also serve as a hub for research, innovation, and resource connection to drive the city’s semiconductor ecosystem forward.

The session continued with a presentation by VSAP LAB on its Advanced Packaging Laboratory project, a 1,800 billion VND investment aimed at enhancing workforce quality and supporting semiconductor startups in Da Nang. FPT Semiconductor shared its vision for AI chip research, signaling promising technology breakthroughs. Universities in Da Nang also introduced their international collaboration programs to improve training quality.

The Asia Foundation expressed appreciation for Da Nang’s potential, especially in education and attracting FDI – particularly from the United States – and reaffirmed their interest in deepening engagement with the city’s high-tech ecosystem, aiming for sustainable partnerships.

The working session concluded with a group photo and a tour of Software Park No. 2. The visit ended on a high note, laying a strong foundation for the growth of Da Nang’s semiconductor ecosystem.
