DSAC recently had the pleasure of welcoming a very special guest that instantly sparked curiosity and excitement among everyone — an adorable self-driving delivery robot developed by Alpha Asimov Robotics! With its compact size, smart features, and futuristic charm, the robot quickly became the center of attention among students, engineers, and visitors.

Previously introduced to the public at the High-Tech Product Exhibition during Danang Semiconductor Day (August 30, 2024), the robot now makes a return appearance, taking part in a series of major DSAC events and reaffirming the remarkable progress of Vietnam’s high-tech industry led by local innovators.

What makes this robot a true tech icon is its status as Vietnam’s first autonomous delivery robot, entirely researched and developed by a team of Vietnamese engineers. Alpha Asimov Robotics, a Vietnamese tech startup, designed both the hardware and software in-house, handled data collection, and trained AI models integrated into the robot. This stands as clear proof of Vietnam’s growing capacity to innovate and lead in the global tech landscape.

The Asimov robot is capable of transporting goods with a payload of up to 50kg, moving smoothly at speeds similar to a bicycle — around 15 to 25 km/h. Equipped with cameras, sensors, GPS, and smart motion recognition technology, it can automatically adjust its speed, determine directions, avoid obstacles, and ensure safe navigation — much like a miniature self-driving car.

More than just a VIP guest, the robot is actively participating in DSAC activities. On March 24, 2025, Asimov showed up to cheer on 17 teams during the preliminary round of the IC Design Competition, co-hosted by DSAC and the HCMC High-Tech Park Management Board — a dynamic event that drew enthusiastic participation from students and lecturers in the field.

On March 29, 2025, the robot will also take part in the High-Tech Product Exhibition at Danang Software Park No. 2, promising to be one of the highlights of the event.

So, if you happen to be at Danang Software Park No. 2 these days, don’t be surprised if you see Asimov rolling around “beep beep” with a delivery or simply taking a scenic stroll! Be sure to wave — you just might be interacting with a glimpse of Vietnam’s tech-driven future!
