Seminar: “Artificial Intelligence (AI) Applications in the Semiconductor and Electronics Industry”

On August 8, 2025, the Da Nang Semiconductor and AI Center (DSAC), in collaboration with Ascendas Systems, organized the seminar “Artificial Intelligence (AI) Applications in the Semiconductor and Electronics Industry”. The event aimed to share the latest technology trends and foster connections among enterprises and experts in high-tech sectors, particularly in semiconductors and electronics.

Experts provided an overview of AI application trends in the semiconductor industry, and introduced solutions based on MathWorks’ MATLAB and Simulink platforms – tools widely adopted in high-precision sectors such as automotive, aerospace, and chip manufacturing. In addition, the seminar included guidance on building image inspection systems using Deep Learning, processing image data, and deploying AI models into practical applications.

Mr. Lê Hoàng Phúc, Director of DSAC, shared an overview of the diverse and rapidly growing semiconductor and AI ecosystem in Da Nang and across the country. He expressed his hope that the seminar would provide valuable insights, enabling businesses and students to gain early access to internationally standardized design tools and apply AI in inspection processes and production optimization.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Alex Ho, CEO of Techsource Systems and Ascendas Systems, emphasized the value of MathWorks solutions such as MATLAB and Simulink – powerful tools that accelerate design, simulation, and deployment processes, helping enterprises shorten product development timelines and enhance operational efficiency. He also shared global success stories and the potential for applying these technologies in Vietnam’s innovation-driven transformation.

Mr. Dương Quang Huy, Application Engineer at Ascendas Systems, delivered in-depth insights on how businesses can apply AI in image inspection and defect detection within the semiconductor and electronics manufacturing sectors.

This seminar not only provided practical knowledge and technology applications but also contributed to fostering an innovation ecosystem in high-tech industries – particularly in fast-growing sectors such as semiconductors, electronics, and smart manufacturing.
