This event marks the beginning of a series of academic and innovation-driven activities focused on FPGA technology in Central Vietnam.

🎯 EVENT OBJECTIVES

This ceremony not only officially kicks off the FPGA Open 2025 Competition, but also aims to connect the research, education, and industrial communities in semiconductor design. The competition is a platform for students, young engineers, and research teams to explore the real-world applications of FPGA technology, enhance their design capabilities, and innovate with global relevance.

1️⃣ Launch of the FPGA Open 2025 Competition

Key highlights include:

• Overview of the competition rules, timeline, and categories

• Announcement of support policies from the Organizing Committee:

  • VND 2,000,000 in funding for each qualified team

  • Hardware development kits and technical mentoring provided to participants

Attractive prize structure:

2️⃣ Signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs)

DSAC will sign official cooperation agreements with leading domestic and international partners, including:

• Willas Electronics (representing Sonix in Vietnam)

• Onekiwi Technology

• Leci

These MOUs mark a milestone in strategic collaboration, laying a strong foundation for long-term development in microchip training and research in Da Nang.

3️⃣ Introduction of FPGA Design Training Program

Date: May 20–23, 2025 (2:00 PM – 5:00 PM daily)
Venue: DSAC Lab
Program content:

• Introduction to Gowin IDE

• FPGA development process walkthrough

• Design simulation and logic analysis

Certification of Completion will be awarded by Gowin Semiconductor and Onekiwi Technology.

4️⃣ Honoring Outstanding Student Teams

The event will also celebrate student teams from Da Nang who have proudly represented Vietnam in the 2025 Microsoft Imagine Cup World Semifinals:

• Danang Speech – University of Information and Communication Technology, Vietnam-Korea University (VKU)

• Omniglot – Vietnam-UK Institute for Research and Executive Education (VNUK)

Awards will also be presented to the top 3 teams in the Central Vietnam region from the national round:
