Lao Delegation Explores High-Tech Ecosystem in Da Nang

On the morning of August 27, 2026, at the Da Nang Center for Research, Training in Microchip Design and Artificial Intelligence, a delegation from the Lao People’s Democratic Republic held a working session with Da Nang City to exchange and learn about experiences in digital transformation, semiconductor microchips, and artificial intelligence (AI).

The delegation was led by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, and Chairman of the Lao-Vietnam Cooperation Committee, Santiphap Phomvihane. Representing Da Nang City were the Deputy Minister of Finance and Vice Chairman of the Vietnam-Lao Cooperation Committee, Tran Quoc Phuong, and the Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City People’s Committee, Tran Nam Hung.

During the program, Ms. Dao Thi Thanh Thao, representing the DSAC Center, presented the city’s orientations and outstanding achievements in the development of semiconductor microchips and artificial intelligence. They also shared information about the ecosystem and startup model at Software Park No. 2.

The delegation also visited the operational spaces of technology units and businesses in the park and discussed potential cooperation in the future.

This activity contributed to strengthening connections and sharing experiences between Da Nang and agencies, units, and businesses in Laos, aiming to expand cooperation in digital transformation, semiconductors, and artificial intelligence.
