On the morning of June 12, 2025, the Da Nang Semiconductor and AI Center (DSAC) welcomed a group of international students from the FTU Global program. The delegation included third-year students majoring in Computer Science, Business Administration, and Social Sciences from ISEN Brest (France), Singapore Management University (SMU), and FPTU Global (Vietnam).

During the exchange, Ms. Hoang Thuy Duong, representing DSAC, delivered an overview of Da Nang’s science and technology development strategies, with a specific focus on semiconductors and artificial intelligence (AI). She emphasized that people are at the center—as both the driving force and the ultimate goal—of development. In the context of Vietnam’s industrialization and global integration, Da Nang has identified high-tech development, especially in semiconductors and AI, as an urgent and strategic priority.

Da Nang has issued a range of breakthrough policies aimed at improving the quality of human resources and creating favorable conditions for students, both local and international, to study, research, intern, and launch innovation-based startups right in the city. Notably, Da Nang is the first locality in Vietnam to implement personal income tax exemptions for individuals working in the semiconductor and AI sectors within local enterprises.

The discussion also highlighted the critical collaboration between the Government – Academia – Industry – Strategic Partners in building a synchronized and efficient science and technology ecosystem.

The program concluded with a field visit to DSAC’s headquarters and computer lab at Software Park No. 2, where intensive training programs and incubation activities are being carried out to nurture the next generation of technology leaders in semiconductors and AI.

This exchange provided international students with a practical view of Da Nang’s human-centered approach to technological development—underscoring the vital role that youth and future innovators will play in shaping a more dynamic, creative, and sustainable society.
