DSAC Welcomes and Holds Working Session with the College of Industry-Academia Innovation (INNC), Taiwan

Recently, the Da Nang Semiconductor and AI Center (DSAC) welcomed and held a working session with Dr. Konrad Kwangleei Young – a senior expert in semiconductor technology, former Director of R&D Technology Programs at TSMC, Senior Advisor for Foundry Business at Intel Corporation, and currently CEO of the College of Industry-Academia Innovation (INNC), National Taiwan University of Science and Technology.

Ms. Dao Thi Thanh Thao, Deputy Director in charge of DSAC, shared information on Da Nang’s specific mechanisms, policies, and strategic orientations for the development of the semiconductor and artificial intelligence sectors. These include investment incentives, enterprise support policies, development of research and training infrastructure, and initiatives to attract and cultivate high-quality human resources.

During the meeting, Dr. Young shared extensive practical experience gained from leading and managing advanced technology programs at TSMC and other global semiconductor corporations. Based on this experience, he provided recommendations for the strategic development of Da Nang’s semiconductor sector, emphasizing the importance of a long-term development strategy, strong alignment between human resource training, research and development activities, and industry demand, as well as the promotion of an effective and internationally integrated government–academia–industry collaboration model.

The two sides also discussed potential areas of cooperation, including specialized training programs, expert exchanges, participation in international conferences and seminars, and enterprise networking activities, while exploring opportunities to expand collaborative networks in both Taiwan and Da Nang.

The working session contributed to strengthening connections between international experts, organizations, and Da Nang’s high-tech ecosystem. Through these exchanges and cooperative initiatives, DSAC continues to affirm its role as a bridge connecting government agencies, academic institutions, enterprises, and international partners to advance the sustainable and globally integrated development of the semiconductor and artificial intelligence sectors in Da Nang.
