With the goal of developing high-quality human resources for Vietnam’s semiconductor industry in general, and for Da Nang City in particular, the DSAC Center collaborated with GOWIN, TraceTec, and Tresemi to organize a working session with universities and colleges in Da Nang. The session aimed to introduce training programs and provide sponsorship of EDA software and FPGA kits to support the learning process.
On the afternoon of August 14, 2024, an important working session took place at the Da Nang City Administrative Center between the DSAC Center, GOWIN, TraceTec, and representatives from educational institutions across the city. The meeting aimed to develop high-quality human resources to meet industry demands and promote strategic cooperation in the growth of the semiconductor sector.
GOWIN, headquartered in Hong Kong with a representative office in Ho Chi Minh City, in collaboration with TraceTec, introduced a sponsorship program to support universities in Da Nang in research, technology transfer, and training of students and faculty. The program includes the provision of FPGA kits, EDA (Electronic Design Automation) software, and related teaching materials.

Sponsorship program
Program Objectives:
Gowin’s sponsorship program is not only aimed at supporting universities in enhancing the quality of education but also encourages research and the application of FPGA technology in real-world projects. This is a valuable opportunity for lecturers and students to gain access to modern tools, helping them develop essential skills and knowledge in the fields of integrated circuits and embedded systems.
Sponsorship Content:
EDA Software:
Gowin provides licenses for its Gowin EDA software, a vital tool that enables students and faculty to design and simulate complex digital circuits. The software allows users to carry out tasks ranging from schematic design and Verilog coding to FPGA implementation.
FPGA Kits:
The development boards include modules such as the GW5A-25K-UG324, camera, HDMI, and other accessories, allowing students to practice and test their designs in real-world environments.
Teaching Materials:
The program offers comprehensive teaching resources, including schematic diagrams, Verilog code, and hands-on lab guides to support both learning and teaching processes.

The training program introduced by Mr. Phil Hoàng in Đà Nẵng, developed by the non-profit organization Tresemi, is part of an international collaboration effort to enhance the quality of human resources in the fields of semiconductor and artificial intelligence. The program targets not only students but also extends to lecturers and engineers in the tech industry, helping them update and improve their professional skills.
The curriculum proposed by Mr. Phil Hoàng includes courses on VLSI Design and Verification. Delivered through a “flipped classroom” model combined with hands-on practice via cloud platforms, the program offers a modern learning experience that blends theory with real-world application. Learners will benefit from instruction by experts with at least 25 years of experience in the semiconductor industry and will participate in practical projects using world-class chip design tools.
A key highlight of the program is its mentorship component, connecting participants with advisors from major tech companies such as FPT, HCL Tech, XLINK IC, and Qorvo. This provides not only in-depth guidance but also opportunities to engage with real working environments and an expansive professional network.
Additionally, the program places special emphasis on retraining lecturers and engineers, equipping them with the latest skills required in the evolving tech landscape, thereby enhancing teaching quality and research capacity at training institutions.
Thanks to the contributions of Mr. Phil Hoàng and Tresemi, this program promises to bring about meaningful change, positioning Đà Nẵng as a leading center for semiconductor and AI training in Vietnam.
