On the morning of April 11, 2025, the Danang Center for Research and Training in IC Design and Artificial Intelligence (DSAC) had the opportunity to participate in the seminar “Youth and Science & Technology,” organized by Duy Tan University. This meaningful event was part of a series aimed at inspiring innovation among students, with the theme: “Resolution 57 – A Golden Opportunity for Youth to Conquer the Digital Age and Shape the Future.”

As a keynote speaker, Mr. Le Hoang Phuc – Director of DSAC – shared valuable insights on the development of the high-tech ecosystem in Da Nang, particularly in strategic sectors such as semiconductors and artificial intelligence (AI). Drawing from his extensive experience leading major tech initiatives in Central Vietnam, Mr. Phuc emphasized the pivotal role of young people in the ongoing Fourth Industrial Revolution.

“We are not only facing the challenges brought by AI disruption, but also standing before a golden opportunity to rise. Young people are the vanguard force that can turn challenges into strength,” Mr. Phuc shared with a large audience of students, faculty members, and technology experts attending the event.

At the seminar, experts also presented and analyzed several prominent technology trends that are shaping the global future, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), China’s DeepSeek AI language model, and Microsoft’s breakthrough advancements in quantum chip technology. These technologies are not only transforming the way we live and work but also raising real and pressing challenges related to employment and workforce structure.

According to a survey by PwC, approximately 26% of CEOs in the Asia-Pacific region are considering workforce reductions due to the rise of AI technologies. Meanwhile, Goldman Sachs has projected that around 300 million full-time jobs worldwide could be affected by the wave of automation. However, this also presents a unique opportunity for countries to leap forward—if they can effectively leverage technology as a tool for growth and innovation.

Notably, Vietnam is proactively embracing this global trend through the issuance of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on December 22, 2024, signed by General Secretary Tô Lâm. The resolution outlines a national strategic direction for the development of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation. It is expected to become a strong driving force for Vietnam’s ascent alongside the world’s leading high-tech nations.

DSAC’s presence and contributions at the seminar once again affirm the center’s commitment to supporting, inspiring, and empowering the younger generation to unlock their potential and play a key role in shaping Vietnam’s digital future. In an era of unprecedented technological advancement, proactive knowledge acquisition and trend adaptation will be crucial for Vietnamese youth to not only keep pace—but to lead the technological race in the coming decade.
