In his opening remarks at the workshop, Mr. Le Son Phong, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang, emphasized that the synchronized implementation of mechanisms and policies is an important solution to realizing the goal of positioning Da Nang as a regional hub for semiconductors, artificial intelligence, and high technology. These efforts also aim to create a favorable environment for attracting businesses, developing high-quality human resources, and fostering the innovation ecosystem.

At the workshop, businesses were introduced to an overview of the city’s policy framework supporting the development of the semiconductor, AI, and innovation ecosystem. The program also provided guidance on the implementation of resolutions adopted by the Da Nang People’s Council concerning human resource development, incentives and support for businesses, mechanisms for accessing centralized digital technology infrastructure, tax exemption policies for activities in the semiconductor and AI sectors, and support policies for innovative startups. These discussions helped businesses, educational institutions, organizations, and investors better understand the conditions, procedures, and required documentation to proactively access and benefit from the city’s policies.

A key highlight of the program was the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between DSAC and oBacker JSC. The signing marks a new step in the cooperation between the two organizations, focusing on policy communication and dissemination, training, and the development of Da Nang’s semiconductor and AI ecosystem.

Another notable activity was the panel discussion “From Policies to Applications – What Do Businesses Need to Do?”, featuring representatives from government agencies, experts, and businesses. Participants raised practical questions regarding eligibility requirements, procedures, and documentation for accessing policy support, which were discussed and addressed directly during the session. The discussion provided businesses and organizations with a clearer understanding of how to implement and benefit from the city’s mechanisms and policies.

In her closing remarks, Ms. Dao Thi Thanh Thao, Acting Deputy Director of DSAC, emphasized that the feedback and recommendations from businesses, educational institutions, and participating organizations provide an important basis for relevant authorities to further improve policy guidance and enhance the effectiveness of policy implementation. DSAC will continue to work closely with businesses and relevant agencies to support the implementation of the city’s policies, contributing to the effective realization of the city’s resolutions and fostering the development of Da Nang’s semiconductor and AI ecosystem.

Through the workshop, businesses and organizations had the opportunity to update themselves on the city’s latest incentive policies while strengthening connections and cooperation between government agencies and the business community. The program represents a practical effort to promote the effective implementation of specific mechanisms and policies and create momentum for the sustainable development of Da Nang’s semiconductor and artificial intelligence ecosystem.
