✨ Da Nang – Chemnitz Government–Business Forum: Advancing Cooperation in Semiconductors, Artificial Intelligence, and High Technology

📌 On the morning of March 30, 2026, at Da Nang Software Park No. 2, the Da Nang Semiconductor and AI Center (DSAC) hosted the Da Nang – Chemnitz Government–Business Forum. The event was attended by Mr. Ho Quang Buu, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee; Mr. Sven Schulze, Mayor of Chemnitz (Federal Republic of Germany), along with his delegation; and approximately 50 representatives from government agencies, research institutes, universities, and enterprises of both cities operating in the fields of semiconductors, artificial intelligence, and high technology. The forum served as an important external relations activity aimed at strengthening connectivity and fostering cooperation between Da Nang and Chemnitz, particularly in key technological sectors.

 

📌 In his opening remarks, Mr. Ho Quang Buu emphasized: “Today’s program is a meaningful and practical activity, providing a platform for the authorities and business communities of both cities to exchange and discuss measures to promote cooperation and engagement in high technology, semiconductor technology, artificial intelligence, and green technology.”

Da Nang is actively developing its semiconductor and artificial intelligence ecosystem, with the goal of becoming one of Vietnam’s leading hubs in these sectors by 2030. Meanwhile, Chemnitz is a key industrial and technological center of the Free State of Saxony, with strong capabilities in applied research and industrial manufacturing, notably with the participation of the Fraunhofer ENAS Institute.

Within the framework of the program, both sides presented their respective potentials, strengths, and development orientations in high technology, semiconductors, artificial intelligence, and green technology. Discussions also focused on opportunities for cooperation in human resource development, research and development (R&D), technology transfer, and business connectivity. The thematic presentations further highlighted models of collaboration between science and industry, as well as practical applications of AI. The program also introduced the “Da Nang – Chemnitz Networking Space,” aimed at strengthening ties between the two cities and serving as a platform for investment promotion, R&D, training, and technology transfer in the fields of semiconductors, artificial intelligence, and high technology.

🎯 The forum represents a concrete step toward enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two cities, while laying the groundwork for more substantive collaborative initiatives in the future. Through this event, Da Nang continues to affirm its position as a promising destination for investment and international cooperation in high technology, striving to become a regional and national hub for innovation and advanced technology.
