Summary of Da Nang Semiconductor Day 2025

On August 30, 2025, within the framework of the Da Nang Finance and Technology Week 2025, the event Da Nang Semiconductor Day 2025 took place successfully, attracting more than 500 participants. Delegates included leaders of central government agencies, diplomatic representatives, international experts, semiconductor enterprises, technology corporations, startups, investors, lecturers, and students.

The program featured 12 keynote presentations by domestic and international experts, alongside a technology exhibition area with the participation of 25 enterprises and 7 universities, showcasing the latest products in semiconductors and advanced technologies.

In his closing remarks, Mr. Hồ Quang Bửu, Member of Da-Nang Municipal, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Da-Nang, affirmed: “Da Nang possesses all the advantages in infrastructure, investment environment, quality of life, and human resources to rise as a new growth hub and the national center for semiconductor technology.” He emphasized the strong determination of the political system to seize emerging trends, access global value chains, promote workforce development, and complete the city’s semiconductor ecosystem. He expressed his sincere appreciation to the experts, managers, enterprises, lecturers, and students for their contributions, while calling on the technology community to continue sharing insights and initiatives for the development of semiconductors and artificial intelligence in Da Nang.

🔹 Morning Session – Platform Technologies for Future Society: The Convergence of Electronics and Photonics:

The morning session highlighted the latest advances in two core technologies: electronics and photonics. The session opened with welcome addresses by:

A panel discussion on Connecting R&D – Pilot Production – Commercialization: Opportunities for Developing Photonic Chips and Advanced Packaging in Da Nang”, moderated by Mr. Lê Hoàng Phúc, Director of DSAC, featured experts from AIST (Japan), IEEE (USA), Marvell, and global electronics associations. The discussion emphasized the importance of international collaboration, investment in cleanroom infrastructure, and the Lab-to-Fab model to accelerate research into practical applications. Experts highlighted the crucial role of government direction and support in creating a favorable environment for enterprises and fostering the semiconductor ecosystem in Vietnam.

🤝 MoU Exchange Ceremony
Within the framework of the event, seven Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were exchanged, focusing on workforce training and development in semiconductors and artificial intelligence. Partners included Plasma-Therm, FPT, DSAC, akaVers, YS Talent, VNUK, and SEVINA, creating a foundation for advancing the semiconductor ecosystem in Da Nang.
✨ Da Nang Semiconductor Day 2025 concluded with significant milestones in cooperation and innovation. The city looks forward to welcoming the global technology community back in future events, reaffirming Da Nang’s position as an emerging hub for semiconductors and artificial intelligence in Vietnam.
