DSAC Welcomes and Works with the Delegation of the British Consulate General
On August 19, 2025, the Da Nang Semiconductor and AI Center (DSAC) held a working session with the delegation of the Consulate General of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Ho Chi Minh City.
At the meeting, Mr. Lê Hoàng Phúc, Director of DSAC, presented an overview of Da Nang’s semiconductor ecosystem, highlighting key preferential policies for enterprises, strategies for infrastructure development, and the city’s orientation in training high-quality human resources. The delegation expressed particular interest in major research projects in semiconductor design and emphasized their desire to connect with technology enterprises to expand opportunities for research and commercial cooperation.
As part of the discussions, DSAC proposed a strategic collaboration with four leading UK partners: Arm, Oxford Instruments, the University of Liverpool, and the National Physical Laboratory (NPL). The collaboration framework focuses on talent development, research and innovation, laboratory infrastructure building, and the establishment of international standards. Specifically, Arm will support training programs and provide semiconductor design tools; Oxford Instruments will cooperate in establishing a Lab-Fab in Da Nang; the University of Liverpool will contribute to joint research and postgraduate training; while NPL will play a key role in developing international standards and certification systems for semiconductors and AI.
The meeting concluded in an open and collaborative spirit, marking an important step forward in strengthening connections between Da Nang and the UK’s leading technology and academic partners. This not only creates opportunities for the city to enhance its research capacity and workforce training in semiconductors, but also contributes to positioning Da Nang as a regional hub for innovation and high technology.
