The DSAC Hosts Graduation Ceremony for VLSI Physical Design Training Course and Opening of Specialized English Program for the Semiconductor Industry



The VLSI – Physical Design training course was conducted over a 3-month period, totaling 166 hours, including 60 hours of theory and 106 hours of practical sessions. The program was delivered entirely in English and utilized EDA design tools aligned with global industry standards.
The class enrolled 43 participants, including lecturers and students in Electronics & Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, IoT, and Information Technology. Of these, 31 successfully completed the program, with five outstanding graduates receiving special recognition.
The lead instructor was Mr. Phil Hoang – Senior Technical Manager at Skyworks Solutions and co-founder of TreSemi – with sponsorship support from Synopsys and Sovico Group. The course provided in-depth knowledge of physical design in integrated circuits, equipping participants with practical skills in EDA tools to meet the recruitment standards of global technology enterprises.
Launch of Specialized English Program for the Semiconductor Industry
Immediately following the graduation ceremony, DSAC commenced the Specialized English: Professional Communication and Personal Branding in the Semiconductor Industry course. The four-week program is led by Mr. Mark Filshie, a specialist with 18 years of experience in senior technology recruitment across Asia.
The curriculum focuses on essential skills for engineers working in international environments, including professional communication, writing globally competitive CVs, personal storytelling, interview techniques, and optimizing LinkedIn profiles.
Promoting Collaboration and Developing Human Resources
These training programs are the result of close collaboration between government agencies, educational institutions, businesses, and industry experts. They contribute to realizing Da Nang’s vision of becoming a center for training and developing high-quality human resources in the fields of semiconductors, integrated circuits, and artificial intelligence.
