DSAC WELCOMES VN-UK INSTITUTE FOR RESEARCH AND EXECUTIVE EDUCATION: STRENGTHENING HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT IN HIGH-TECH INDUSTRIES

On the afternoon of August 1, 2025, the Danang Semiconductor & AI Center (DSAC) welcomed a delegation from the Vietnam–UK Institute for Research and Executive Education (VNUK), University of Danang, at Danang Software Park No. 2.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged updates on the development of the local high-tech ecosystem, with a particular focus on the semiconductor industry—one of Danang’s two strategic technology sectors. DSAC representatives provided an overview of the city’s supporting policies, human resource demands, and the growing trend of industry-academia collaboration in training and applied research. In turn, VNUK shared its strategic direction, including the recent launch of a new academic program in IC design, along with its intention to strengthen partnerships with technology enterprises and governmental organizations to expand the scale and quality of training.

VNUK expressed the need to connect with companies in the semiconductor field for guest lectures, internship opportunities, and curriculum development aligned with real-world industry needs. DSAC confirmed its readiness to serve as a connector and proposed a shortlist of potential companies for future collaboration. The two parties also discussed opportunities to jointly organize short- and long-term training programs, conduct applied research based on practical industry problems, and co-sponsor innovation initiatives. VNUK further noted its capacity to facilitate connections with international universities to develop advanced joint training programs in high-tech fields.

To conclude the visit, DSAC representatives guided the VNUK delegation on a tour of several companies operating within Danang Software Park No. 2. The visit provided a valuable opportunity for VNUK to observe real-world R&D and production environments, laying the foundation for aligning academic programs with market needs.

The working session was held in a constructive and open atmosphere, highlighting the proactive collaboration between academic and research institutions in Danang, and contributing to the development of a strong human resource foundation for the region’s high-tech industry.
