Over 700 Developers and IT Students Join Google I/O Extended MienTrung 2025
On July 12, 2025, the Google I/O Extended MienTrung 2025 event was held in Da Nang City, attracting the participation of more than 700 developers, students, and technology professionals. The event was hosted by the Google Developer Groups (GDG) MienTrung in collaboration with the Da Nang Semiconductor & AI (DSAC), along with both domestic and international partners.
Google I/O Extended is a global series of technology events designed to share key highlights from the official Google I/O conference. This year’s Central Vietnam edition featured a diverse array of professional activities, including expert talks, technology showcases, hands-on coding labs (codelabs), tech product exhibitions, and in-depth discussions between speakers and the developer community.
The event focused on topics such as artificial intelligence, AI-powered product development, and software engineering using tools like Flutter and Firebase from the Google ecosystem. The hands-on codelab sessions were particularly well-received, contributing to the dissemination of practical knowledge and applied technology.
In addition to technical sessions, the event included an exhibition area featuring technology companies from Da Nang and neighboring regions. This created opportunities for attendees to explore new solutions, engage with companies, and strengthen cooperation across the local IT ecosystem.
Google’s community manager in Vietnam expressed the hope that GDG MienTrung will continue to uphold its role as a strong connector—bringing the developer community closer to the latest technology trends, experts, and career development opportunities, thereby fostering a vibrant and sustainable tech community in Da Nang and Central Vietnam. Google also announced ongoing initiatives to support the local tech ecosystem, including the upcoming Google for Startups AI Solutions Lab, which will be hosted in Da Nang for the first time to support AI-driven startup projects.
As a co-organizer, DSAC contributed to the coordination of technical activities, partner engagement, and the facilitation of expert discussions and demonstrations. This collaboration aligns with DSAC’s broader mission to support the development of high-quality human resources in emerging technology fields, particularly artificial intelligence and integrated circuit (IC) design.
The Google I/O Extended MienTrung 2025 event concluded with positive outcomes in terms of technical exchange and community engagement. Moving forward, the organizing units plan to continue their joint efforts to promote knowledge sharing, hands-on practice, and the growth of the developer community across Central Vietnam and beyond.
