Japanese Ambassador Ito Naoki Visits Danang Software Park No. 2, Exploring the City’s High-Tech Startup Ecosystem

Danang, July 5, 2025 – As part of his official visit to Danang, H.E. Mr. Ito Naoki – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Vietnam – visited Danang Software Park No. 2 to explore the city’s growing innovation and startup ecosystem.

The Ambassador was welcomed by Mr. Le Hoang Phuc, Director of the Danang Semiconductor and AI Center (DSAC), and Mr. Pham The Nhan, Deputy Director of the Danang IT Infrastructure Development Center (IID) – key entities managing innovation infrastructure at the park.

During the meeting, Mr. Le Hoang Phuc emphasized the pivotal role of human capital in advancing high-tech industries. He highlighted that skilled talent forms the foundation and driving force behind research, innovation, and real-world technological applications. With Danang identifying semiconductor and artificial intelligence (AI) as strategic priorities, collaboration with international partners – particularly Japan – will be crucial to enhancing the city’s innovation ecosystem and technology infrastructure.

Ambassador Ito Naoki acknowledged the city’s long-term strategic vision and expressed his interest in fostering tangible cooperation between Japanese businesses and local institutions – especially in workforce development, technology transfer, and high-tech investment.

This visit not only strengthened the friendship between Vietnam and Japan but also opened new prospects for deeper connections between enterprises, educational institutions, and technology stakeholders in both countries. Future collaboration in innovation, training, and investment is expected to grow even stronger in the coming years.
